Maddie Parker
Director, Founder, Head Physiotherapist
Maddie is the founder and lead Physiotherapist at PhysioBagnes. She graduated with a first-class honours degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Hertfordshire, UK in 2015. With 10 years of clinical experience in both the UK and Switzerland, Maddie has developed a deep expertise in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. Since graduating, she has worked continuously as a Physiotherapist, taking only a one-year sabbatical to enjoy a ski season in Verbier—and then never left! In the UK, she honed her practice within the National Health Service (NHS), collaborating with some of the UK's most advanced physiotherapy practitioners, which allowed her to gain invaluable understanding in patient care.
ABOUT MADDIE
Practising in Switzerland required Maddie to obtain recognition of her UK degree from the Croix-Rouge Suisse, which involved achieving a B2 level in French in 2021 and a C1 level in 2023 for the right to practise independently. In Switzerland, she has primarily worked in private clinics, mostly seeing insurance patients with prescriptions. Maddie continues to provide the same high level of healthcare while applying her extensive clinical expertise and ensuring that each patient receives care tailored to their unique needs.
Her specialism lies in the assessment and management of complex cases, and she has treated a diverse patient base that includes athletes, children, seniors, and individuals with respiratory, neurological, rheumatological, and orthopaedic conditions. Maddie’s experience as an athlete, playing touch rugby for the Swiss National Women’s Team, has provided her with invaluable insights into the physical demands of elite sport, as well as the significance of injury prevention and recovery.

In the UK, Maddie managed a team of five junior and senior physiotherapists, overseeing their professional development. She also played an integral role in supervising and training student physiotherapists as they pursued their degrees.
